What is a Fiduciary?

A fiduciary is a person who assumes responsibility for various positions of trust.

In what specific roles do Fiduciaries serve?

Fiduciaries serve by court appointment as guardians, conservators and personal representatives of estates. They also serve by agreement as trustees, administrator of estates, executors or as agents under powers of attorney.  As your fiduciary, Stella would be responsible for following the instructions set forth in the Trust documents, Will or court documents.  Her attention to detail and sensitivity to the situation is paramount in her business.  She values the importance of communicating with her clients and addressing their personal or financial needs in the most efficient way possible.

Who needs a professional trustee?

In San Diego alone there are over 26,000 “orphan” seniors who need the help of someone to assist with their day to day activities.  There are also many seniors with family, who choose to appoint a Professional Fiduciary to avoid burdening family members. In many cases, the adult child may not have the appropriate skills, time or even live conveniently nearby to handle the responsibility.  The choice to utilize the skills of a professional fiduciary can be difficult.  However, you can be assured that using the services of Stella Shvil will provide you with the peace of mind that you are using someone who understands the importance of developing a special relation of trust and confidence with her clients and other professionals within this industry.  She maintains the highest moral and ethical standards and follows all legal requirements within her practice.
